Orothalassodes hypocrites (Prout, 1912). India: S. India (Travancore), Tamil Nadu, West Bengal (Darjeeling), Meghalaya (Khasi Hills, Cherrapunji),
Orothalassodes pervulgatus Inoue, 2005. India. West Bengal (TL: Darjeeling).
Orothalassodes falsaria (Prout, 1912). India: Meghalaya (TL: Khasi Hills), West Bengal (Darjeeling), Uttarakhand (Mussoorie), Nilgiris; Bhutan.
Orothalassodes aptifimbria (Prout, 1916). India: West Bengal (TL: Darjeeling), Arunachal Pradesh (Tale WLS).
Orothalassodes leucospilota (Moore, [1887]). S. India; Sri Lanka.

Diagnosis (MOB). This (Orothalassodes hypocrites) and the next species (O. retaka, extralimital to India) have the enlarged white spot in the postmedial at the forewing dorsum. They are best distinguished by the male genitalia as indicated below. O. hypocrites has more distinctly red margins to the wings that contain white spots at the vein ends in the cilia.
