Similar species: Luxiaria acutaria (Snellen, 1877)
Luxiaria mitorrhaphes can be distinguished by the following characters from Luxiaria acutaria: the outer margin of the hind wing in the female is almost smooth and not as crenulate as in L. acutaria; the forewing discal spot is smaller, and not extending to the medial line distally; the postmedial lines on the underside of both wings are less distinct.
