Similar species: Hypomecis transcissa (Walker, 1860). 
Vide Hampson, pg 271, transcissa differs from infixaria in the antemedial line of fore wing being less regular ; the cell-spots smaller ; the medial line waved ; the post-medial line of both wings more oblique ; the submarginal line much more prominent. Underside pale fuscous, with small cell-spots, obsolescent postmedial line, and diffused marginal band.
