Taxonomic Information

Arctelene arcuata is endemic to Sri Lanka; hence these species ID's need to be re-visited. 

Arctelene Kirti & Gill, 2008 species known from India and Sri Lanka.
Arctelene neouncodes N. Singh & Kirti, 2016. India: Karnataka (TL: Medikeri), Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand.
Arctelene patnitopensis N. Singh & Kirti, 2016. India: Jammu & Kashmir. Considered a synonym of Arctelene neouncodes (Singh et al 2024). 
Arctelene rufescens Kirti & Gill, 2008. India: Karnataka (TL: Bhagmandala), Tamil Nadu.
Arctelene rubricosa (Moore, 1878). India: Maharashtra (TL: Mumbai), Goa, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Kerala, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Odisha, and Sikkim. Arctelene uncodes Kirti & Gill, 2008 is a synonym. 
Arctelene arcuata (Moore, 1882). Endemic to Sri Lanka. 
Arctelene brevisvalva S. Singh, Bhattacharya, N. Singh & Kirti, 2024. India: Goa (TL: Ponda), 
Arctelene rajbanshi S. Singh, Bhattacharya, N. Singh & Kirti, 2024. India: West Bengal (TL: Panijhora). 

Note: Revised genus to Arctelene rubricosa (Moore, 1878) based on Volynkin (2022).
