Notes: Many individuals from Kerala have whitish rather than yellow dorsal spots on abdomen, spots on thorax are smaller, and the translucent spots on FW are smaller, too, making them appear a different species to Eressa confinis. Eressa buddha Zerny, 1931. Iris 45:4 has also been recorded from Nilgiris but I do not have access to the OD. Published as Eressa spp. pending further investigation (SS, 5 May 2022).
