Note: Aethaloessa floridalis (Zeller, 1852), an extralimital species from Africa, is more yellow than orange. This species is reported from India by Hampson (1896) and Mathew (2006). However, Whalley, (1961), who studied both species, clearly states that this species is known from the African region only; hence this treatment is retained here.
